The vacancy represents an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious organisation that works within the nationally renowned United Learning Trust. We would welcome applications from candidates who are eager to play an important role in the future of our school.

We are looking to appoint a strong, enthusiastic, committed and creative Learning Teaching Assistant (LTA) to work with children with a range of abilities including those with an Educational, Health and Care Plan.  All of our LTAs are expected to be flexible in their approach by enhancing teaching and learning, and pastoral care through various ways.

Candidates must also be able to use their own initiatives and have a good standard of spoken and written English. They must have proven experience in a school setting working with primary age group children.

You will also provide support to the wider school and as an integral member of the Learning & Teaching team. You will be part of the planning and development meetings each week and required to provide class cover when needed. United Learning

Whittingham Primary Academy joined United Learning lately, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
