Lecturer - 14 - 16 Fresh Start Provision

Greater Brighton Metropolitan College have an opportunity for a Lecturer to join the 14-16 Fresh Start team - you should be a specialist in SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health).

Fresh Start aims to deliver dynamic and exciting lessons to pre-16 (year 10 and 11) students to re-engage them back into education. The students have a range of individual support needs including emotional and behavioural challenges. Some students are disengaged and disinterested in education and find a college environment more appropriate for their educational needs.

The area delivers a range of core subjects including English, Maths, PSE and ICT.

The successful candidate will be creative, experienced and passionate about working with challenging young people and have the ability to engage and encourage students to participate.

You will require an academic qualification at Level 5 / Level 6, or professional qualification equivalent in a relevant subject area and a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to gain one). 

Interview will be held on 13 December 2021.
