Job overview

Can you inspire the next generation of Video-game Designers?

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our thriving Games Development department. We are a forward-thinking, well-resourced and highly productive creative industries school and our goal is to give our learners a competitive edge in an ever-changing world by focusing on new and emerging technologies. We have a brilliant curriculum, focused on the development of key digital skills, such as 3D modelling and texturing. We ensure students work is of the highest level and support their progression into work and further study. We have a large alumni of successful industry professionals and undergraduates and run national and international competitions.

We are proud of our continued success and growth in this area too. Our ambitious approach to highly practical learning means we offer games design courses from Level 3 Diploma through to Level 6 BA(Hons).

You will have an excellent proven track record of teaching or training using Autodesk 3D software and Adobe software. A good understanding of Unreal Engine 4 would also be an advantage. You need to be an excited, outgoing and committed member of our team who is willing to adapt and evolve as well as bring new skills to the groups we teach and our department.

You will have a proven track record of coordinating teaching, learning and assessment and development of practical and vocational courses (can be from any awarding body, but we use UALab) as well as a current and strong understanding of curriculum opportunities and developments in creative arts industries (and FE education).

Closing date for the return of completed applications is Wednesday 28th February 2018.
