We are now searching for a Lecturer in Sociology to deliver our AS and A2 curriculum as well as the Skills Challenge course . 

In order to be considered for this role, you must have proven experience and competence within Sociology and hold a Degree as a minimum.

As a Lecturer at Coleg Cambria you will be required to deliver both practical and classroom based learning to our students. You will also be responsible for enrolling students on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities as well as ensuring the safety and welfare of our students at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • It is essential that you are degree qualified or equivalent in Sociology or a professionally relevant subject.
  • You must hold a Teaching qualification eg. PGCE, Cert Ed.
  • You must have previous experience delivering teaching up to A2 Level Sociology.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Self motivated, well organised and able to work independently using own initiative
  • Candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to their own transport.
  • The ability to teach a second subject such as History would be an advantage.
