Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Animal Studies team at Myerscough College. You will be required to ensure high quality teaching and learning is delivered on a broad spectrum of topics within Animal Studies, mainly Further Education with a strong science bias. It is essential that you have a Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Animal Science/Behaviour/Welfare, GCSE (or equivalent) English and mathematics, at grade C or above, along with significant experience within the animal care industry. You will also need to have teaching experience within the FE sector and hold a teaching qualification, with evidence of consistent Grade 1 or 2 Lesson Observations, or alternatively be willing to undertake teacher training within an agreed time period.
