An opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Lecturer in computing to join the Trafford College Group and play a leading role in realising our vision of being a dynamic career college. This is an exciting time to join the Group following the merger with Stockport College. A major refurbishment programme is planned for the Stockport Campus and this represents a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to drive transformational change for students, employers and communities of Stockport and Trafford.
Working at the Stockport campus and in our purpose built world-class Centre for Science and Technology at Stretford, where learners can unleash their full potential and be creative through hands-on learning, you will have the ability to motivate and inspire our learners to achieve and lead the way in the future of Computing.
You will have a Degree in Computing or a Computer related subject along with skills at level 3 ideally in Programming or one of the following areas; Network administration, Database design/administration, Web page design/management or Computer forensics/cyber security. Experience teaching BTEC Computing at levels 3-5 is also essential.
A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths. A Level 5 teaching qualification or a commitment to complete these within 2 years will be essential.
Experience of teaching on apprenticeships is an advantage. NQT’s with relevant experience and the determination to develop their career with the College will be considered.
