City & Islington Sixth Form College is a leading central London based sixth form located a short walk away from Angel station. It offers a huge array of A level provision across a number of academic courses for 16-18 year olds. 

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has become available working as part of an economics team at one of the top performing sixth form colleges in London. The college currently have over 200 learners undertaking courses. You will be responsible for providing effective teaching, support and assessment to economic students on A Level programmes. The college has fantastic links with a number of leading business in the area and this is often used to enhance the learner experience and progression. 

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is learner focused and results orientated and has experience of working within a Sixth Form College and the delivery of Economics at A level.  

About you

To be successful in this role you must have the ability to communicate with students and to motivate and support them in their studies. You will need to hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant related subject, and hold a minimum of a PGCE teaching qualification or equivalent of this. Successful candidates will have experience of teaching A Level. In addition, you will be able to employ a range of teaching strategies including E-Learning and prepare students for formal assessments and exams.

Located in the London Borough of Islington, City and Islington College (otherwise known as Candi) is a further education college with students aged 14 and over. The college was first established in 1993, following a merger of four institutions in the local area. As a result, the college has over 12,000 students of all types in attendance.
