The Engineering Department is a multi-disciplined Engineering Team that is seeking an aspirational and innovative Lecturer in Engineering to join this vibrant educational environment.

We are looking to add to the strength in depth of the department and would therefore welcome applications from ALL engineering disciplines but with a particular focus on Aeronautical Engineering at this present moment in time.

The post holder will be involved in the planning, delivery, assessment and internal verification of Engineering programmes, ranging from level 2 – level 4. This will involve supporting College learners in achieving their academic goals and career progression by delivering high quality lessons, and ensuring high student attendance and satisfaction.

The post-holder must possess a relevant degree in Engineering or equivalent.  The post holder must also have a Teaching Qualification to current national industry standards or a willingness to work towards this qualification in a timely manner.

Annual leave  

Academic staff are entitled to 40 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales. 

Business Support staff are entitled to 30 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales. 

College Management Team are entitled to 35 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales.  

The College is closed for 2 weeks during the student Christmas break during which time all staff are granted additional leave to be taken at this time.
