We provide Further Education and Higher Education at our Campuses at Bishop Burton College near Beverley and at Riseholme College near Lincoln which includes a brand new Showground Campus featuring state of the art teaching environments, engineering workshops, sports facilities, world class laboratories and an industry leading animal management unit. At our Bishop Burton campus we have undergone a multi-million pound campus development programme including significant investment in state of the art teaching and learning facilities, sports facilities, a commercially run farm and an international standard equestrian facility.

The Foundation Studies department offers students who have a range of learning needs, the opportunity to study in a land-based environment. We offer courses in animals and agriculture, plants conservation, employability and construction skills at Entry Level and Level 1.

You will teach a range of subjects at these levels, manage the students on a day to day basis, liaise with the College Student Support Team and external agencies that support the students, be involved in course organisation, contribute to student individual learning plans as well as be involved in recruiting new Foundation Studies students. You will also play a key part in developing Foundation Studies courses at the College and in developing links with schools.

An experienced Foundation or Level 1 teacher of students with a range of behaviours and high needs learning you will also have experience of developing individual learning plans. Excellent communication skills are essential and if you don’t currently hold a teaching qualification, a willingness to work towards one is also essential.
