Job overview

City of Westminster College is embarking on an exciting stage of its development. With a thriving student population, a strong and growing business portfolio and a stunning £102m campus, we are poised to become the first- choice College in the capital for students and staff. Recently graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted, pursuing a new growth strategy, the College continues on with its quest to make an impact on both the quality of teaching and learning as well as the progression and employment opportunities of our learners.

In January 2017, City of Westminster College and the College of North West London announced their intention to merge with a vision to deliver the highest quality education and training opportunities for students and employers across West and Central London, and beyond.

We invest heavily in the professional development of our staff, and would like to encourage suitably qualified persons to apply for this role.

This is an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Motor Vehicle Engineer to take an active role in the delivery and development of the College’s Motor Vehicle curriculum to 14-19 year- olds and adults, with scope for career development for a motivated candidate.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a relevant Level 3 qualification or above in Motor Vehicle Engineering. Possession of assessor awards (A1 or V1) would be highly desirable. This role would suit a well organised individual who can demonstrate good communication and team working skills.

You should have a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or display a willingness to work towards a Diploma Level 5 teaching qualification (supported by CPD) upon being appointed. Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working with students from a range of backgrounds are also essential.
