Job overview
Brighton Girls is seeking an experienced Librarian to play a key role in the management, development and promotion of the school library and learning resource centre.
The successful candidate will ensure that all students and staff have ready access to a broad and relevant range of reading materials, research tools and information services in order to support teaching and learning throughout the school.
They will also be responsible for organising and maintaining the school archives.
It is preferable that the successful candidate is a chartered librarian with post qualification experience of working in a library. Knowledge and love of children’s and young adult literature is equally important.
We would like the successful candidate to work from 10.00am - 2.00pm in the term time, 4 days a week.
We are looking for someone to start in September but ideally be available over the summer to help set the library up in our newly renovated Temple building.
