École Jeannine Manuel, in the heart of Bloomsbury, London, is now recruiting a Librarian to start in February 2019.
We are a 3-18 co-educational independent bilingual French international day school with both French and IB Diploma Programme tracks in Sixth Form. Our Paris sister school and namesake has been ranked first in France for the last five years.
With the opening of its new Upper School (Lycée) approaching, École Jeannine Manuel in London is looking to appoint an efficient, flexible and proactive individual to fill the role of Librarian at its Russell Square site.
Duties will include maintenance and stock management of the Upper School library, monitoring pupil use of the space and resources, and supervising pupils from Years 10 to 12 while they are using the library. A passion for literature, and for working with young people, is a requirement.
In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out administrative tasks such as monitoring attendance and lateness, responding to parents’ queries, assisting teachers with printing and lesson preparation, as well as a variety of ad-hoc administrative tasks necessary to help the smooth running of the Upper School. Therefore, excellent organisational skills are required, as well as experience with basic administrative tasks.

- Good spoken and written English;
- Knowledge of French is a great advantage, although not a requirement;
Start Date: 18thFebruary 2019.
Full Time: 40 hours a week.

École Jeannine Manuel is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through school with nursery but without sixth form, situated in Bloomsbury, Central London. Opened in September 2015, it is the sister school of an elite private day school in France, also called École Jeannine Manuel and founded in 1954.
The London branch of École Jeannine Manuel is an Ofsted-registered independent school which will provide 500 places for nursery, primary and secondary-aged students when fully subscribed. It currently enrols pupils through to Year 10, and is working towards introducing students up to Year 13.
