Library Manager

Northampton International Academy is looking for an experienced Librarian to promote reading by creating a vibrant and fun environment within the school. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks within the library. This will include supervising library lessons, working closely with the English Lead ensuring pupils are accessing appropriate material and getting the right support in the library environment, managing the issuing, and returning of any of the library’s stock, keeping the library in good order, and contributing to the school’s programme of co-curricular activities.

Experience of working in libraries or with collections of written material is highly desirable as well as a knowledge of Accelerated Reader. No formal qualifications are required for this role, although a relevant qualification would be advantageous as would an interest in any age range of student’s literature.
