Job overview
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to fill this important role. Based in our highly innovative school Library (Knowledge, Information and Communication Centre), you will lead the staff team. With strong managerial skills and a belief in the important role the Centre has to play in the personal development of young people, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and developing our Information services and leading staff in providing a first-class customer experience for students, staff and the wider community. A natural communicator and problem-solver, you’ll bring the energy and forward thinking that can drive the Library (KIC Centre) forward.
To be successful, you will have unlimited optimism, good communication skills, and a tenacity to succeed. Good IT and organisational skills are an advantage. Previous experience is an advantage but not essential as training will be available if required.

Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre is a mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2,100 students including 350 in the Sixth Form. We are part of Tenterden Schools’ Trust working in collaboration with local primary schools serving the Wealden town of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. The school is situated on the edge of Tenterden and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside.
