We have an exciting key opportunity to join our inspirational and outstanding school.    The successful candidate will share the aspirational ambitions of our school and work closely with the Library Leader in our busy Library. Experience of working in a Library or similar setting would be advantageous.

Duties will include:

• Assisting to maintain a positive working environment for students and promote a positive and professional image of the Library across the School

• Deputising for the Library Leader in their absence

• Responsibility for administrative tasks to retrieve overdue or lost items

• Support with supervision of students and their use of resources during two break times and two lunch periods

Do you have:

• An excellent knowledge of young people’s literature?

• Experience of working with children and young people? 

• A firm but fair approach to dealing with behaviour issues?

• Demonstrable excellent interpersonal and communication skills?

• Excellent IT and computer literacy skills? 

Are you:

• Educated to GCSE grade 9-4 (A*-C) in English Language or equivalent?

• Able to work in a busy environment with the ability to maintain a calm and orderly atmosphere?

• Wanting to be part of a warm, outward looking community, which celebrates diversity and is supportive and collaborative?

• Able to converse at ease with parents, carers/students and members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English?
