Bexley Education Improvement Service is transforming. Our ambition is to be a force for good in the lives of Bexley children and young people because we stand alongside all our schools, supporting a thriving local education system. We believe passionately that the LA has a role to play in creating that system, in partnership with schools. We are seeking to recruit a new system leader to our new dynamic and credible team, that will enable us to fulfil our ambition and vision for the service, and are able to consider candidates looking for a permanent post or secondment opportunity.

This new post will be a part of a dynamic, focused school improvement team that will forge our new conversations with Bexley schools, building a sustainable school improvement infrastructure as well as leading and having strategic oversight of one aspect of the local system, which would be the Early Years from 0-5 with our childcare providers, settings and schools. The successful candidate will join a dedicated and supportive directorate who are passionate about making a difference.

We are keen to recruit experienced school senior leaders who have the energy, commitment and drive to make this aspiration a reality. You will have a track record of delivering significant improvement at senior leadership or headship level and be knowledgeable and experienced in school improvement. You must also be passionate about Early Years Education and development with a strong knowledge of EY’s practice and guidance.

You will also have strong communication and influencing skills, with an ability to use coaching and other leadership approaches to secure improvement.
