About our school

Léman International School Chengdu (LIS) welcomes the children of expatriate families from age 3 to 18 years in our all-through school, from Nursery to Year 13. Our purpose-built campus occupies 50 acres (20 hectares) in the Tianfu New Area of Chengdu, south of the city centre, and has the capacity for approximately 1,000 students. Léman boasts world class facilities which includes fully equipped modern classrooms, science laboratories, an art studio, music studio, I.T. rooms, gymnasium, 25-metre indoor swimming pool and large outdoor sports facilities. LIS is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

Chengdu is a modern city in Western China famous for excellent food and the home of the Giant Panda. Many interesting destinations in South East Asia are a short flight away with direct flights to Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. The city is affordable with a lower cost of living than many comparable cities in China, so there is good savings potential for teachers.
