Smart Teachers are searching for inspired Australian and New Zealand educators to apply for Year 1 Teacher position, to join a ‘good’ primary school (as rated by Ofsted, the UK's governing body for standards in education) in Streatham, South London. The school is looking to recruit a Year 1 Teacher on a full-time basis, starting in September 2020 for the duration of the 2020/21 academic year. Both experienced teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of the curriculum.

  • Starting September 2020 
  • Fixed term Temp contract (September 2020 – August 2021)
  • Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Diploma of Education / or equivalent teaching degree with current teacher registration

In order to be considered for this role, the Year 1 Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Diploma of Education / or equivalent teaching degree with current teacher registration
  • Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum
  • Graduate Teachers and/or OS-trained teachers are welcome to apply
  • Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa/right to work)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
