Lunchtime Assistant and After School Care Assistant

22.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri 12pm to 1:30pm and 3pm to 6pm) 

One Year Fixed Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen at John Burns Primary School for a Lunchtime Assistant and After School Care Assistant  John Burns is a Rights Respecting School. We are seeking the right person to join this high achieving, popular one form entry school and to uphold our vision of “Giving our best and achieving our highest”. Based in Battersea, John Burns has a wonderful community spirit that celebrates our diverse population.  

You will assist at lunchtimes in the day to day supervision in the lunch hall and on the playground and the day to day running of our After School Care Service. Your role will be to support the delivery of exciting, creative and sporting activities to the children. 

You will be required to engage with the children, assist with preparation of healthy snacks/meals (including hot meals) and drinks during after school care.   You will be required to ensure the school’s Behaviour Policy is rigorously employed, to ensure our children’s behaviour and manners are upheld.   

We are looking for someone who will take pride in supporting these young children to reach their full potential, be happy and safe. You need to be flexible, patient and confident about working with young children.
