The Job:  Lunchtime Supervisor

Job Types:  Part-time, Permanent

Hours: 5 hours per week.

12.15 pm – 1.15 pm, Monday to  Friday

Salary:  £9:15 per hour 

King Fahad Academy is looking to recruit  enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to start in September 2022.

Applicants will be:

Qualified to:  Basic numerical and literacy skills .* Essential*

Experience / Basic childcare and health & safety knowledge. Essential 

Knowledge:

Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Essential

Experience working with children in a school setting. * Preferred *

Experience of working as a lunchtime supervisor. * Preferred*

Key Skills: Ability to communicate and interact effectively with children and colleagues

Ability to maintain a positive, safe and healthy school environment

Ability to work in a team and use own initiative

Ability to understand and comply with school policies including Child Protection and Health & Safety Procedures.

The ability to form constructive working relationships with colleagues and communicate with a range of audiences, including other employees, governors, parents and pupils.

The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment. All new appointments will be subject to the following appropriate checks: Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS enhanced), with Barred List Check, Declaration of Criminal Record, checks against the Prohibition List (Teacher Status Checks) including Identity, Address, Date of Birth, a Full Employment History, Right to Work in the UK, overseas checks where applicable, namely a "Certificate of Good Standing" (which is a letter of professional standing issued by the professional regulating authority in the country in which they worked. All applicants are also expected to provide the equivalent of the overseas Police Check. At least 2 references (one with current or most recent employer, where appropriate) and original documentation of Qualifications (where appropriate). All applicants will be required to bring an Enhanced DBS Disclosure Certificate with them along with their evidence of identity, right to work in the UK and qualifications which will then be photocopied, signed and dated by HR."

The King Fahad Academy was founded in 1985 by King Fahad of Saudi Arabia in order to provide education for the children of Saudi diplomats and those who wished to access a faith-based education in West London. Today the Academy has about 500 pupils aged 3-18. We have recently introduced a full programme of coeducation across the whole Academy.

The Academy aims to offer all its pupils full access to the UK National Curriculum alongside a rich strand of Arabic and Islamic studies. This programme of study and all that we do is designed to bring about a combination of academic achievement and development within the ethos and values of the Islamic faith. Throughout this journey of learning, pupils, staff and parents, are encouraged to Keep Focused Always.

We offer an excellent range of facilities and resources to our students which we continually upgrade. We believe the resources available to our students and the environment in which they work are a key consideration in their performance and motivation.
