About the Role

 

0.5 Main Grade Lecturer - Beauty Therapy 

We are a leading and long-established school for Hair and Beauty that offers high quality opportunities in this field. We offer a full range of Hair and Beauty courses from level 1 up to level 4.

Our courses are focused on ensuring students gain the practical skills & expertise to forge a path of employment in the Beauty industry.

In order to facilitate this we have a dedicated team of tutors across the Hair and Beauty school who are all industry specialists with an excellent working knowledge of the industry. The Department has purpose built salons to create a realistic working environment. Our location in the centre of one of the most vibrant cities, offers the chance for our learners to provide support and participate in with numerous exciting events, gaining invaluable work experience.  

Further to this, the courses have been designed by staff to provide a creative and supportive environment

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.

That’s not to say our college doesn’t offer its own fair share of experiences. Within the 5 locations the following are available;
