Job overview

We currently have an exciting opening for a Marketing and Communications Lead based at our Wilmslow office, Cheshire. This will suit a marketing professional with experience of the education sector who can demonstrate that they have created, developed and delivered a range of marketing strategies and campaigns successfully. This is a hands-on role and the post holder must be independent, well organised, confident, conscientious and proactive.

The Marketing and Communications Lead will act as an ambassador for Keynote Educational and interact directly with teachers and senior education professionals by phone, via email and social media to create and develop new leads and to ensure that they receive the best possible professional service. The role involves managing the marketing and sales activities of the business, working closely with the CPD and Events teams and the company's Marketing Adviser to promote and support our training activities.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Manage and devise the creation, design, production and delivery of different types of marketing strategies and campaigns, including direct mail, online and at conferences
  • Develop and maintain the relationship with current leads
  • Develop new leads with a wide variety of customer types, including individual teachers and academy chains
  • Manage the company's website, taking the initiative on its design and ensuring that it is up-to-date
  • Analyse trends and opportunities to inform the company's current and future direction
  • Produce marketing collateral to a high level, including online e-shots, including designing high quality promotional material for CPD offerings

Essential Job Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience relevant to the role

  • Demonstrable experience of producing successful marketing campaigns of different types
  • Ability to produce effective marketing collateral to a high level
  • High level analytical skills and evidence of this having a successful impact
  • Experience of website maintenance, including using analytics and creativity to determine content and presentation
  • Proven ability to maintain and build good relationships with professional educational leads
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience of liaising at all levels, including with the most senior contact and to a professional market
  • Ability and experience of using social media successfully for marketing campaigns and correspondence with customers
  • Good commercial acumen and an understanding of figures, budgets and cost effectiveness
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent studies
