Trinity Sowerby Bridge will be a new academy within the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust, transferring to the trust in September 2018.   The flagship academy, Trinity Academy Halifax is a model of excellence for the growing number of academies and free schools joining the trust. The team behind the success at Trinity are working to help those joining our trust to replicate their successes in improving the outcomes for children and young people.

Sowerby Bridge has a new leadership team in place, led by Charlie Johnson the new Principal.  Through robust, clear systems and support; we can ensure that teachers can focus on developing their teaching.  Our mantra of ‘Culture & Consistency = Excellence’ is something that we are proud of and all staff support us to maintain this philosophy.

We are looking to appoint a Marketing and Events Officer that will help shape the image of the academy within the local community.  This is a new and varied role which provides a real opportunity to manage a project that will contribute to the school vision of becoming an outstanding academy in our next Ofsted inspection.

You will be expected to work alongside the Principal and other key members of staff across the academy to understand what makes Trinity Academy Sowerby Trinity such a special school. With this understanding and your expertise you will then ensure this message is understood by all stakeholders.

The potential is huge and this fantastic opportunity requires the expertise and commitment of dedicated individual. As a trust we invest in the professional development of staff and are able to offer comprehensive, regular CPD opportunities for all staff.  This includes cross-trust working.

The Trinity MAT were first approached to work with the then Sowerby Bridge High School, when it had been graded as inadequate by Ofsted and had been ranked in the bottom 15% of all schools nationally.

After joining the MAT in 2018 the progress made has been outstanding. The academy has improved its Progress 8 outcome by 0.92 and the performance puts us comfortably in the top 1% of most improved schools in the country.

In September 2021 we will be adopting the new name of Trinity Academy Grammar to better communicate our identity, high standards and aspirations for our students. We have chosen a name which truly reflects our grammar school heritage, and to better showcase our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, as we continue to build on this legacy through our outstanding achievements and passion to help our students reach their full potential.
