Location: Ripley Area

Date: September 2018 –November 2018

About the role:

A small school in Ripley have asked ABC Teachers to find someone to cover part of a job share as of September. This is to cover a maternity leave within the school’s year 5 class, the job will be shared with a teacher who recently retired from the school and has said that they are happy to negotiate the days that are shared to accommodate the other teacher. The role will also require some preparation and planning, as you will need to provide lessons relevant to the curriculum and coordinate with the other teacher on the job share.

The school is situated in an area of Ripley that is easily accessible to those who live in the Derby area as well as in those who live in the wider Derbyshire area. As the school has been modernised relatively recently there is ample parking for those who drive as well as the added advantage of it being close to public transport links.

The school want someone who is experienced in either key stage 2 or in specifically managing a year 5 group, as well as someone who is keen to push the children academically in preparation of their transition to year 6 and the final SATs exams.

Now is an extremely exciting time to join ABC teachers as we were acquired by TES over Easter 2016; they have chosen to work with 3 agencies throughout the country and ours was one of them. We are also recognised and awarded the Gold Standard by the REC which will give you peace of mind that you are registering with the right agency.
