Potters Bar Clinic School wishes to recruit an enthusiastic and versatile teacher of maths to join our highly specialist teaching team on a temporary basis. Your role will be to deliver Maths to up to eighteen pupils within small classes of up to four at a time.
The post is for 3 days a week but full time will be considered if you are also able to teach Science.
Potters Bar Clinic School is based within an eighteen bed CAMHS unit here at the clinic. It is a low secure unit which takes 13-18 year olds, who require help and support within a psychiatric setting.
Our aims and objectives are to ensure that all our students receive a curriculum that whilst maintaining its breadth, is personalised to meet the individuals needs within the context of assisting in the care and treatment programme facilitated by the hospital.
You will be responsible for taking on the delivery of the Maths Curriculum for our students based on the Functional Skills and GCSE criteria. You will be expected to plan, teach and assess as part of our team.
We need you to be a caring, hardworking, adaptable, versatile individual able to work within a small team environment.
We would normally welcome school visits, but due to Covid-19 restrictions this may not be possible. However please feel free to ring and have a chat about the role and our school.
