About the Department:

The Mathematics Department is first class with a history of achieving excellent results at GCSE and A-Level. At GCSE 42% achieved a grade 7 or above whereas at A Level almost over a third achieving an A*/A, with over half achieving this measure in further Maths.

There are eight members of the department with lots of experience and there is a great team atmosphere. We work very cohesively to support and develop each other’s practice and share expertise. All classrooms are fully equipped with interactive whiteboards and new textbooks across the Key Stages. The successful applicant will have their own classroom.

Mathematics and further Mathematics are popular choices in the sixth form with approximately 120 students studying these A Levels, so the ability to teach up to and including Key Stage 5 is desirable. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with ambition to come in and contribute significantly to the department’s further successes.
