A popular, expanding and over-subscribed, high performing British-curriculum school, we seek a Mathematics teacher and a Mathematics Curriculum Leader for KS3, 4 and 5 to join a thriving team of 5 specialist teachers in our growing Secondary School from September 2018. As a new school there are no precedents for our practice. In affecting change and development we not only like to think outside the box but to imagine there is no box.
We seek two UK trained Maths teachers preferably with ENC experience. Candidates with leadership experience and those ready to take the next step in their career are invited to apply for the Curriculum Leader position.
Due to recent changes in qualification and experience requirements, we can now accept applications from teachers with all levels of experience including Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) with no post qualification teaching experience. As a BSO (EduBase No. 143834) and BSME school we also offer the NQT Induction year in association with Buckinghamshire Learning Trust to newly and recently qualified teachers who meet the qualification requirements below.

The school gained BSO (British Schools Overseas) accreditation in May 2016 following a successful inspection in its second year of operation. Most recently in February 2017 in its third year of operation it had its second biannual inspection and was placed in Band A – ‘a high performing’ school moving from satisfactory it was graded good with very good features. Since then the school has continued to improve and is due for its third biannual inspection in February 2019.

All applicants should have one of the following sets of qualifications. There is no longer a need for teachers to have post-graduation teaching experience (in accordance with Department of Education and Knowledge Regulations which apply to all private schools in Abu Dhabi):
- Internationally recognised Bachelors Degree in Education specialising in Y7 to 13 Mathematics or
- Internationally recognised Degree in a Mathematical subject + PGCE in Secondary Mathematics or other internationally recognised teaching qualification such as a PGDE or
- Internationally recognised Degree in a Mathematical subject with QTS
Any joint honours degree which includes theology or religious education will not be accepted by the Department of Education and Knowledge, ADEK.
Please note two supporting references and a police clearance certificate or DBS no more than 3 months old must be provided by successful candidates to complete the ADEK approval and visa process.
