This very successful, dynamic and forward looking department is looking to recruit a Maths Intervention Coordinator.   If you are looking to teach within a highly professional and supportive comprehensive environment and would welcome the opportunity to work with us to enable all our students to reach their full potential, then we would like to hear from you. The role supports the Co-Directors of Maths put in place whole school policies, practices and processed that embed mathematics in the teaching and learning abilities of our students.  

The department has transformed itself in the last four years and is a model of good practice for others. Following our inspection in November 2016 the HMI described Poole High School as a good school that is ‘rapidly improving’. In 2017 Maths attained 77% at grade 4 and above and 22% of the cohort at grade 7 and above. Maths is highlighted in the Ofsted report as an area of excellence in the school.We are looking for a Maths Intervention Coordinator  to join our team from September 2018, teaching within a highly professional and supportive environment. Poole High School is an 11-19 comprehensive school serving families throughout the historic town of Poole. Our students are well motivated and examination performance at Key Stages 4 and 5 has rapidly progressed over the last 5 years. This year, we achieved the school’s best ever GCSE results and were placed first in the post 16 league table in Poole for value added. Consequently, we are within the top 25% of schools nationally at KS4 and KS5 for progress and Poole local authority is in the top decile nationally for attainment 8.    

The school has delightful landscaped grounds and is very well resourced, being located at the heart of the town with excellent access by road and public transport. The quality of life in Poole is good and there is easy access to diverse range of cultural and scenic attractions.
