Huntercombe Hospital School Edinburgh are recruiting for a teacher three days aweek, (22.5 hours) with maths as their core subject.

We are a small Independent Special School for up to 16 pupils, attached to a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Hospital.Our pupils are taught 1:1 or in small groups.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering the maths curriculum, and help support other non-core subjects depending on pupils needs. They will ensure that liaison with home school and other team members  that appropriate education goals are set, and attainment and progress is measured and recorded.

The role also carries a Link Role with a responsibility for reports and the liaison for several pupils  with their clinical team, home schools and parents. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate good relationships with pupils and peers. Demonstrate good organisational skills, and be prepared to take on administrative duties when required.

In return we offer your own dedicated classroom and support to develop the skills required to work in a successful school within a Tier 4 CAMHS setting. 

Closing date is the 16th November.

This centre is dedicated to the provision of high quality treatment services for young people aged 11 and older, up to 30 years of age, who are experiencing psychiatric, psychological and emotional problems. Building on many years experience, we are recognised as leaders in care for adolescents with eating disorders.

Our experienced team of Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Teachers and Social Workers offers each young person a holistic treatment programme tailored to their individual needs. 

To help referrers deal more effectively with eating disorder patients in crisis, we offer a rapid response service wherever possible. Close liaison with the referrer is important to us, as part of the emphasis we place on continuity of care at all stages.
