Smart Teachers is working with a school in North East London who are looking to appoint a Teacher of Maths from December 2018. It is a supportive 11-18 mixed school with an “Outstanding” sixth form. The successful candidate will be working with and supported by an experienced team of strong teachers and leaders. The Maths Department is also very strong as evidenced by the improving outcomes of pupils. This full time maternity position is available from December until the end of the academic year and would suit both NQTs as well as experienced Teachers of Maths who hold QTS.

About the Role

  • Maths Teacher to take on a full time placement at an ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in Waltham Forest
  • Fixed Term Maternity Cover post until the end of the academic year (July 2019)
  • December 2018 commencement

In order to be considered for this role, the Maths Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

  • PGCE, Cert Education BSc(Hons) QTS, 
  • A good first degree
  • Be able to teach Maths and engage and inspire across KS3 and KS4 
  • Has a commitment to inclusive education 
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS / police checks
