Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK.

With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes we focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.

Eastwood Grange is a day school seeking an experienced Maths Teacher. Located in the village of Ashover, near Chesterfield, that provides a high quality of education for up to 50 boys and girls for the age of 5 to 18.  All our pupils have education, health and care plans and experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties.  We are a forward looking and innovative school that seeks to transform the lives of the pupils in our care.  The introduction of girls and a lower age group is new and has been achieved through a complete refurbishment and material change to the school.  This will bring exciting new challenges and opportunities to the right candidates.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast developing school. Your experience, knowledge, enthusiasm and innovation will help you to deliver high quality and exciting lessons that will be fully supported by the schools leadership.

We are looking for an innovative and creative thinker who can bring the curriculum to life both inside and outside of the classroom environment. We are keen to hear from educational professionals who can think outside of the box in order to engage and enthuse a diverse range of abilities in the learning process. You will bring ideas, energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to measuring progress, raising attainment and increasing the profile of maths across the school.

The ability to teach subjects across the curriculum is required to support the schools offer of a broad and balanced curriculum. You will need the ability to deliver maths as you will be leading this across Key Stages 3 and 4 as well as supporting our WoW (World of Work) curriculum, and working pastorally with our children. We want all of our pupils to experience the best in a high quality learning environment. Our curriculum is supported by our own therapeutic team that work alongside our teaching staff to help and support the pupils.

You will benefit from opportunities for further professional development and career progression as we value and support our staff in all aspects of school life. We have a comprehensive induction programme for staff and a highly supportive leadership team.

Visits to the school would be warmly welcomed.  If you do wish to look around, please contact Jayne Bennett on 01246 590255, from Wednesday 28th August on wards, to arrange a date/time.

If you share our ambition to provide an outstanding education for our pupils, we would welcome an application from you.

We want to invest in you and your future! Find out about our career pathways: https://www.priorycareerpathways.com/

Our aim is to help our students understand their problems, identify and implement ways of alleviating them and enable them to achieve their full potential.

We strive to reverse the downward spiral of failure often experienced by our young people and to replace it with optimism through finely graded, achievable goals. We believe that positive approaches produce positive changes, which can compensate for past failure and prepare youngsters for the future.
