The Blandford School is a successful school with high aspirations for our students and is situated in the beautiful county of Dorset, 30 minutes from the beaches of Poole and Bournemouth and 40 minutes from the New Forest National Park.

In Mathematics students progress well and the progress score have been above average for the last three years, also showing an improving trend. The subject is popular at Key Stage 5, with Core Maths, A level and Further Maths all being offered. 

Teaching in Mathematics is at the forefront of pedagogical research with the department involved in The NCETM Teaching for Mastery Programme and projects linked to The Jurassic Maths Hub. 

This role would suit both a teacher with experience or those new to the profession, who would relish joining a supportive and forward thinking school and a department with a passion for Teaching and Learning. There will be the opportunity to teach at all Key Stages and to be involved in whole school initiatives such as STEM. 

The school boasts an excellent CPD programme, based on the latest research evidence to ensure that all teachers, no matter their level of experience are able to develop and improve. We are also focussed on ensuring staff well-being and pride ourselves on a supportive team approach.
