The Learner Journey Department at South Staffordshire College require a Mentor to work with learners on a 1-1 and group basis to provide high quality pastoral support to raise aspirations and improve success of vulnerable or at-risk learners who may have a range of complex and multiple issues, for example; self-harm, mental health issues, suicidal tendencies, aggressive and antisocial behaviour, lack of self-esteem and confidence etc.

You will also be required to; act as a Deputy Child Protection Officer on the College Safeguarding team, deliver group sessions on relevant subjects and provide support for campus events around the Every Child Matters agenda.

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

·         Relevant Level 4 Qualification or significant related experience

·         Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy

Interview date:  Tuesday 12 December 2017 @ our Rodbaston campus
