Job overview

Bowes Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational class teacher who will teach music across the school. The specific responsibilities for the music teacher include: 

• Planning inspiring and high-quality music lessons in accordance to the Primary National Curriculum to pupils across the primary age with a clear progression of skills 

• Contribute to extra-curricular music across the school 

• Contribute to whole school music events, performances and workshops 

The ideal candidates must also be flexible (as every day is different) adaptable and hard working. You will need to be a well-organised person who can work independently and as part of a team and have the skills to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.

The successful candidate will:

● be passionate about children’s progress and achievement

● put children at the heart of everything you do

● be able to work as part of a team, sharing excellent practice and learning from others

● work hard and have strong inter-personal skills

● enjoy making learning exciting
