We are seeking to appoint to the position of Music Curriculum Support.

The Post of Music Department Curriculum Support 

The primary function of this role is in assisting the Music Department (consisting of A Level Music, A Level Music Technology and BTEC Music) in offering a high standard of administrative support to the teachers, students and additional instrumental staff. 

The post of Music Department Curriculum Support will contribute to the achievement of College’s single corporate objective - improving students’ achievements - by undertaking the following specific responsibilities. What follows is not intended to be an exhaustive or definitive list; other duties may be required as necessary. 

Timetabling of Peripatetic staff

  • Assist in organisation of concerts, events and bookings 
  • Assist in collation of student coursework
  • General departmental administration 
  • Represent the department at events, concerts and college Open Days
  • To comply with policies and procedures relating to fraud and irregularities, child protection, safeguarding, pastoral issues, health and safety, security, confidentiality and general data protection reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.

The College had originally been a grammar school founded in 1936, becoming a full sixth form college in 1992. The college is co-educational, with over 3000 students aged 16-19. Since its establishment as a sixth form, the college has undergone extensive redevelopment and modernisation, and as a result can boast of a wide range of high-quality teaching and recreational facilities such as a brand-new purpose-built teaching block opened in 2010 containing teaching facilities for physics, electronics and photography among others.

The Sixth Form College Farnborough is a sixth form college located in the town of the same name, in Hampshire. Since September 2017, The College has been part of The Prospect Trust, a multi-academy trust. The College had originally been a grammar school founded in 1936, becoming a full sixth form college in 1992. The college is co-educational, with over 3900 students aged 16-19. Since its establishment as a sixth form, the college has undergone extensive redevelopment and modernisation, and as a result can boast of a wide range of high-quality teaching and recreational facilities such as a brand-new purpose-built teaching block opened in 2010 containing teaching facilities for physics, electronics and photography among others. Around a third of the students at the college are on mixed programmes of study combining A levels and vocational courses. The college offers 33 A-level courses, with the largest being in psychology and mathematics. Of the 11 vocational courses, the largest are in criminology and business.
