Job overview

The successful applicant will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

We are seeking a suitably qualified Music teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will become a member of a collaborative and supportive team in delivering outstanding learning and teaching to students in Year 7 - 12.

The successful applicant may also wish to put themselves forward for consideration for the position of Head of Creative and Performing Arts (Tier 2+). 

St Michael’s College is a co-educational Catholic secondary College administered by Brisbane Catholic Education with an approximate enrolment of 900 students. We are recognised on the Gold Coast for our great successes in academic, cultural, sporting and vocational fields over the past 30 years. Our curriculum is broad, allowing for each student’s development across Academic, Spiritual, Vocational, Cultural and Sporting arenas. We are known for our strong pastoral program and as a friendly learning Catholic community. Our staff are well trained in contemporary and innovative classroom pedagogy.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
