TBSC: WORKING IN THE SECONDARY SECTION
The British School Caracas was founded in 1950. We have slowly expanded over the years and are looking for inspirational teachers to join the team. We have 140 students in the Primary Section and 120 students in the Secondary Section. Our curriculum in the Primary and Secondary Section follows the English National Curriculum, IGCSE in Years 10-11 and the IB Diploma programme in Years 12-13.
The school is an exciting place to work! We are looking at increasing numbers in the next few years. If you would like to be part of these exciting times, we look forward to receiving your application. Our teachers are flexible, enthusiastic, motivated, excellent communicators and always willing to go the extra mile (see attached teacher profile). We are committed to educating the whole child and are not simply a results factory.
Please note: This position is for a whole school music teacher, somebody who can promote music in the school, make it thrive and independently push the subject.
We are looking for teachers with excellent knowledge of their subject area, some knowledge of the English National Curriculum, IGCSE and/or IB Diploma Programme. A minimum of two years’ teaching experience is desirable, although we do offer NQT training for exceptional applicants. See attached file for details of our full benefits package.
We are committed to Continuous Professional Development for all our teachers and place great importance in recruiting teachers who ‘fit’ into our team. Our Year 9 students created a video to convince you! (HERE).
Before applying, we strongly recommend that applicants read through all the attached documentation. Please apply with a letter of application that must highlight why you would like to work at TBSC (and live in Caracas), and five essential traits of an international teacher. Please apply by sending a letter of application and an up to date CV to the Head of School, Yasir Patel, email@example.com.
Interviews will take place vis Skype.
Start Date: August 2020.
