Instrumental Music Teacher (Education Qualification)

This is a unique opportunity to work across 3 Catholic Schools in Mount Isa. 

Townsville Catholic Education Office invites applications from Music Teachers with Queensland College of Teachers Registration to join our committed Music Department.

The successful applicant will have proven success in implementing a cumulative, sequential and developmental Instrumental Music Programme from Year 3 to Senior Secondary and will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the following points at interview:

• A clear understanding of curriculum, assessment and reporting procedures (experience with 2017 Queensland Instrumental Music Curriculum will be highly regarded)
• Proven success in engaging students in co-curricular music programmes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and parents
• University qualifications in Music and Education and a willingness to tutor instrumental music (Brass, Woodwind, Percussion and/or Voice if required)
• Experience planning and implementing lessons catering to new technologies and student interest

A willingness to take an active and enthusiastic role in the full life of the school as well as an ability to be flexible within the teaching environment would be highly regarded.
