This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the reshaping of the IT Services team. The College requires a Network Manager who can lead, manage and support IT systems within the College and enable the use of current and future technology to support students learning. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can communicate effectively and develop the IT services team to provide excellent customer service to both staff and students. The post holder will be expected to work with the IT Director to develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures relating to IT at the college. They will also be required to work closely with other departments in managing and developing the college’s IT provision. As a key member of the college’s ILT Strategy group the post holder will play a key role in both suggesting appropriate developments and advising on any proposals. The normal working hours would be 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Some out of hours work will be necessary e.g. for system maintenance to minimise disruption to staff/students.
You should: • Have significant experience of managing networks and IT systems, preferably within an educational environment • Have up to date knowledge and understanding of IT developments to ensure the college plans for the future • Have experience of leading and managing staff effectively • Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels • Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure • Be pro-active with the ability to act on your own initiative
