Park Academy West London is looking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and talented individual to lead the planning, delivery and development of our exciting No Limits curriculum. The No Limits curriculum is designed to fulfil all National Curriculum requirements, deliver an authentic education for the 21st Century, as well as supporting the transition from Key Stage 2 to 3.  The curriculum is focused on the following:

  • The development of knowledge: Progress in knowing more and remembering more.
  • The ability to apply knowledge: Progress in knowledge being applied in more challenging, relevant and more engaging ways
  • The acquisition of future skills: In order to translate knowledge into actions for success.

Currently in Year 7 students experience teaching and learning being delivered through a range of approaches:

  • Single discipline subjects (individual subjects)
  • Applied Transdisciplinary Learning (ATL) assignments where students drawn on knowledge from a number of subjects and apply the knowledge to fulfil the needs of the assignment
  • Assessment, Presentation and Personal Education Weeks where students participate in a range of activities including PSHCEE workshops and activities, as well as an exhibition of their work
  • Innovation and Development Weeks

Each of the assignment starts with a launch event, and concludes with students hosting an exhibition of their work.  Examples of assignments include Demos Kratos, Life, Love and Loss and Shakespeare Re-Designed.  The delivery of the ATL sessions varies depending on the nature of the assignment and includes large group teaching, subject specific masterclasses, carousels of activities and independent learning activities.  

We are seeking to appoint someone to take the curriculum into its next phase where students will continue their programme of study into year 8. We welcome candidates with either a primary or secondary background of teaching the curriculum. You will have responsibility for the line management of a group of staff working in collaboration with you so a degree of experience is essential.

Park Academy West London is a new school for a new age, an 11-19 academy, based in Hillingdon Middlesex who joined Aspirations Academies Trust, from 1st September 2017.

Park Academy West London has a close working relationship with the Aspiration Academies Trust’s other academies in London. These are Rivers Academy West London, which was judged ‘Good’ in its recent Ofsted report, Space Studio West London, which specialises in space, aerospace, science and maths and, in the primary sector, Oriel Academy and Oak Hill Academy.
