Job Title:  Non-exec director / District Head of Alternative Provision

Location: North England

Salary: circa £40,000 with additional bonus

Start Date: September 2018 (or sooner if possible)

Contract Type: Full Time

Contract Term: Permanent

EdStart Specialist Independent School first opened in South Manchester in September 2010, and now operates across multiple sites across Greater Manchester.

Our primary function is Alternative Provision, serving the region’s schools and young people by developing a suitable environment and curriculum to match their varying needs.

We are keen to expand our footprint and believe there is capacity in the North for other alternative provision sites. As of yet though, we don’t know where this will be but are looking for the right individual to identify opportunities for growth in their local area.

Sounds interesting……..

We are looking for someone who has the idea and drive to establish their own setting outside of the Greater Manchester area. You will recognize the need for an Edstart setting and, along with our support, turn this into a reality.

You may work in an SEN setting currently but believe that you could offer a better provision to local students in a different environment.

Or there may be a lack of similar provision in your area and you recognise a market that could be filled.

You may have always wanted to run your own setting, in your style but need the backing of specialists to make this happen.

We will provide the tools and act as a mentor to assist in the development of the setting and your career.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to make a real difference.

For an application pack or an informal chat regarding this opportunity and working for Edstart please contact Diane Jamieson on 0191 267 6555/07713323792 or email permanent@visionforeducation.co.uk

We would highly recommend visiting one of our sites to gain a greater understanding of the provision that we offer. Please contact Diane Jamieson to arrange this.

Completed application forms should be submitted by 13th March 2018 to Diane Jamieson via email.

We will consider applications as they are submitted and reserve the right to interview prior to closing date. Please therefore submit your application as soon as completed.

Your application is a direct permanent application to Edstart. Vision for Education is our recruitment partner and manages our permanent appointments.

All posts are subject to DBS clearance. All staff are responsible for the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children.
