The King’s School is a selective co-educational boarding and day school of 820 pupils in years 9-13. The school, dating back to 597 and situated in the heart of the historic Cathedral city of Canterbury, has an outstanding reputation as one of the country’s leading independent schools.
The King’s family, which includes The Junior King’s School, will in September 2018 open its first purely International College in purpose-built accommodation in Canterbury. The College will teach up to 80 international students in Years 7-11 with the aim of sending them successfully onwards for the Sixth Form, GCSEs or 13+ entrance. Its students and staff will benefit from being a new and innovative part of this historical institution.
Applications are invited for the position of a residential Nurse Matron. The starting date will be 1st September 2018. This is an exciting opportunity to establish the College within both the King’s tradition and the global community.
The Nurse Matron will play an integral role in the College's pastoral team. We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate who is experienced in the pastoral care and support of young people. The ideal candidates will also have energy, an enthusiastic approach to life, a desire to contribute to the creation of a happy and stable environment for the boarders in their care, and a good sense of humour.
A willingness to participate in training would be required. A full driving licence would be preferred.
