Happy Days Nursery is a small nursery that is in a purpose built building situated in the grounds of Exmouth Community College and opened in 1990. The accommodation is bright, spacious and comprises of an open plan room which houses the toddler and pre-school area and a separate baby room. The nursery has a large secure outside play area, which has lots of space for the children to explore. The nursery has a small, enthusiastic team of full and part-time staff and caters for children from the age of 0 – 5 years. Happy Days Nursery strives to build a strong partnership with parents/carers and recognises that the link with home and Nursery can only assist the process of a child achieving their personal best.
Due to the retirement of the current post-holder, Happy Days Nursery is seeking an experienced and passionate Manager with a proven track record of successfully running a nursery; capable of leadership and delivering the highest possible standard of quality childcare to the children. Candidates who are currently managing a nursery or have sufficient experience of working as a Deputy Manager are encouraged to apply.
As well as holding at least a Level 3 Early Years Education qualification, you will be an exceptional mentor and early year’s practitioner. You will have impeccable interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively to colleagues of all levels of seniority, building superb working relationships to ensure common goals can be achieved.
While receiving all of the benefits of being part of our College, in terms of Human Resources, Facilities Management and Financial Services support, the Nursery is operated with a considerable degree of autonomy.

Exmouth Community College is one of the largest secondary schools in the country with over 2,200 students currently enrolled (over 300 of these in Post 16). The College, which converted to Academy status in April 2011, is set in a leafy split-site location. Our catchment area extends northwards towards Exeter city and eastwards to include Budleigh Salterton and many attractive rural villages. The Area
Exmouth is a town of over 35,000 inhabitants situated at the start of the Jurassic Coastline, East Devon in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Read more HERE.

The town offers excellent sporting facilities including a large leisure centre, and hosts a weekly Park Run and Junior Park Run.
