An exciting opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team in a flourishing independent school catering for students with special educational needs (SEN).
Abingdon House School is a unique and successful Independent Day School for children with Specific Learning Difficulties including autistic spectrum condition, ADHD, dyspraxia and sensory processing disorder, aged 5-19. The school is part of the Cavendish Education Group.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary therapy team including occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and a physiotherapist. The school has an integrated therapy model and within this the occupational therapists work with both individual pupils and whole class groups.
You will be required to carry out assessments of pupils including standardised assessments and interventions includes developing fine motor skills, handwriting and sensory regulation. You will be required to contribute to pupils' Individual Education Plans and Annual Reviews.
Staff receive regular supervision, support through attendance at weekly therapists meetings and opportunities for internal and external CPD. Salary dependent on experience. Applications from recently qualified therapists or those with more experience are welcomed.
