Job overview

We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and highly motivated individual to support and develop our office team to deliver an outstanding service to all stakeholders. The individual must be self-motivated, well organised, proactive, resilient and flexible, with a passion to succeed. The office manager will lead an integral administrative team to support the overall functioning of our academy. 

This post ideally requires experience of working in a school office environment with proven management skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to roll up their sleeves, get involved and find solutions within all areas. In this role you will need to be professional, confidential and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to relate to students, parents/carers and visitors in a calm and professional manner.

The successful candidate will also be highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and keep on top of deadlines. You’ll need to have attention to detail and be able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. You will be working with colleagues across the school, so you’ll need to love working with people, have very high standards and be prepared to work hard as part of a team. 

We’re situated in the former industrial heartland of Yorkshire, close to the junction of the M62 and A1 and its transport links. The Trust currently comprises four schools across the primary and secondary phases, with plans for future growth and the opportunities that brings. Airedale Academy itself is a good school, with solid finances and rising pupil numbers over the next few years.

Airedale Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with a sixth form in West Yorkshire, serving students from the ages of 11 to 18. The secondary school, situated in Airedale, Castleford has 1100 students on record.  It is part of Northern Ambition Academies Trust, a 4 school MAT spanning an age range of 2-18.

The school maintained its judgement of good by Ofsted in 2022.
