The Trustees are seeking to appoint a One to One Maths Tutor capable of delivering elements of our overall tutoring programme across our Academy. Our programme is split into three precise focus areas with the aim of providing targeted students additional learning opportunities that will allow them to rapidly address deficits in their learning.

These focus areas are:
• Focus area one: Tutoring for Year 11 to allow them to address learning gaps ahead in the final year of their examined courses in Maths.
• Focus area two: Tutoring for Year 7 and year 8 students to allow them to address numeracy skills gaps that have perhaps been intensified due to the extended COVID lockdown.
• Focus area three: Tutoring for students across all year groups to allow them to ‘catch up’ with their peers following a period of absence.

Tutors will typically work with students on a one to one basis in their own school setting, however there may be occasions where small group work would be offered where it is considered effective. In advance of each session the academy will provide tutors with all resources to be used during each session delivered.
