Our Lady of Lourdes- Part time school officer position

The successful applicant will:
 

• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
• currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and
• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Support the classroom teacher in providing  high qualityeducation 
• Possess competent communication and interpersonal skills

The School officer: Inclusive education will be appointed at Our Lady of Lourdes who, with the classroom teacher under the Principal’s direction implement the Australian curriculum and English 100 as well as support contemporary pedagogy in Year one. The School officer: Inclusive education will support students in year one to access the Australian curriculum. Working directly with the Year one teacher, the School officer: Inclusive education has a duty supporting relevant pedagogy and ensuring that a creative, flexible curriculum is delivered to all Year One students.

Our Lady of Lourdes School was established by the Sisters of St Joseph in the southside suburb of Sunnybank in 1952. Our co-educational primary school has an approximate population of 525 students. The campus is a modern educational facility with all learning areas fully air conditioned. Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):   Part time fixed term

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   2 days per week Thursday to Friday  

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   Level 2 School officer

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
