We are seeking an experienced PA to work closely with the Headmaster and Deputy Head - Pastoral.
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a PA and be flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements. You will be professional in your approach to all aspects of the role, very organised, a team player and competent with Microsoft Office packages. Experience of using iSams would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
The successful candidate will:
Ensure that the Headmaster is fully supported in all aspects of their work including confidential matters.
Advise on compliance with legislation and guidance e.g. DfE, Data Protection, Freedom of Information Act & School governance.
Maintain school record systems.
Support the Headmaster in providing information for the governing body and its committees.
Maintain the Headmaster's diary, book appointments, receive visitors and provide preparatory support.
Arrange and attend meetings, produce agenda's, provide refreshments, take notes and produce minutes and action points.
Respond to, manage and ensure timely resolution to complaints and queries from parents and/or the community.
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, equal opportunities, health, safety, security, confidentiality and data protection.
Proactively promote the school's values and liaise with outside agencies, parents and the community.
Support the Headmaster and leadership team
Ensure regular communications between school and parents are forthcoming and informative.
Provide cover for absent colleagues.
Undertake any other reasonable duties.
We are looking for someone who:
Has significant, successful administration management experience.
Has experience working as a PA.
Has experience of organising meetings and taking accurate minutes.
Is a team player.
Is flexible and adaptable.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, term time only plus 4 weeks. At least 3 weeks should be worked in the summer holidays.
Salary for this role is based on support staff grade 7, points 19 - 25 Currently £25,481 - £29,577 FTE. Actual salary based on hours and weeks is £23,603 - £27,896
