Personal Assistant to the Headteacher (maternity cover)

Grade 7 Scale 32 – 37 currently £29,055 - £33,136 pro rata

37 hours per week / 43 weeks per year

We are seeking a high calibre professional to cover the maternity leave of the PA to Headteacher who supports our Headteacher as he drives Chaucer School forward in its mission to improve the life chances of our young people. 

Students and their success are at the heart of all that we do and ensuring that the Headteacher has essential information in the right place at the right time; that governors are serviced in a timely and professional manner, that minutes accurately reflect the rigour and challenge within our Quality Assurance processes; that parents are dealt with discreetly and sympathetically whilst maintaining a smile and a can-do attitude are essential requirements of this post.

Do you have:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• High levels of organisational, time management and IT skills 

• An ability to prioritise and use your initiative

• Systematic and effective documentation and record-keeping 

• The ability to deal sensitively and discreetly with a wide range of people 

• A flexible and adaptable approach to working 

• Previous experience in a PA role 

• The ability to minute meetings effectively and accurately

• An interest in whole school issues 

• A willingness to attend training where required
