Job overview

Are you interested in teaching A Level  Economics at an outstanding school but are looking for flexible hours one or two days per week?

If so, please contact the school's HR Manager, Justine O'Driscoll, to discuss what options might be available at jodriscoll@ruisliphigh.org.uk.

Ruislip High School is an outstanding, oversubscribed, 11-18, mixed comprehensive school with over 1200 students on roll. The school opened in 2006 due to the demand for secondary school places in the local community and our brand new sixth form centre opened in September 2020. We obtain excellent results: our summer 2019 GCSE results placed the school in the top 25% of schools nationally; at A Level in 2019, 22% of all grades were A*/A grades and 7% of the cohort attained straight A*/A grades.

Why work at Ruislip High School?

  • Students and staff treat each other with respect. They share high aspirations which are realised through high expectations of everyone.
  • Staff are afforded many benefits and rewards as part of the Vanguard Learning Trust’s entitlement package for staff.

Values and Vision

The school aims for teachers and students to have respect for each other. Children should also be honoured to be a part of the school community. Ruislip High School believes in unity. It especially believes in standing side-by-side to help others in the community. Thus, students who volunteer are valued. Students are expected to follow the rules of the school and achieve excellent academic results, but personal development is also seen as important. One of the school’s motto is “you own your own behaviour”. The teachers hope every student leaving the school remains curious about the world and continue to learn.
